Rebecca Katherine “Kathy” Moore was born in Enid, OK to George & Roberta (Daniels) Bamburg March 20th, 1952. She passed away on Christmas Eve surrounded by her loved ones.
Kathy attended school in Enid. It was at Enid High School that she met Don Moore and they were married March 18, 1971. Later that year they welcomed their first daughter, Karen Sue. A couple years later they welcomed their youngest daughter, Kelli Dawn. The couple would later divorce but continued to be friends for the entirety of her life.
Kathy worked in retail most of her life. She made many friends at a variety of jobs. She was a hard working woman with an abundance of pride in her work and at her home. Kathy was known for witty sense of humor and her contagious laugh. She was as straight forward as they come and would tell ya like it was with no BS. Kathy had a stubbornness much like her siblings and she was tough as nails right up until the very end. Kathy most loved being with her family and friends. She was a huge OSU Cowboys & Kansas City Chiefs football fan and she also watching game shows. You would not want to play against her at Jeopardy. She enjoyed being outdoors and spent several nights sleeping under the stars while camping with family at Canton Lake. She also had a faithful friend in her Boston terrier dog, Phat boy who she missed dearly.
Surviving are her daughters Karen and husband Shawn Overstreet of Enid, and Kelli and husband David McNabb of Oakwood, OK; grandchildren Nick Bullock of Enid, Rebekah and husband Duane Mapel of Yukon, OK, and Parker Schmidt of Oakwood, OK; great grandchildren Jacob Bullock, Oaklee Bullock, and Aleister Bullock all of Enid. She is also survived by 1 sister, Pat and husband Bob Givens, Enid; 1 sister in law, Rita and many nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers Eddie, Orbie, Larry, Jerry, Roger, Billy, & Bennie and 1 sister Betty.
Obituaries are posted, in part, due to the generosity of The Commons.
