Memorial services for Phyllis McFarland, 87 of Enid, will be Friday, October 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lester Lowry officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Phyllis was born on December 11, 1929 in Greeley, Colorado to Carl Morris and Pearl Smith Morris and died on October 1, 2017 in Enid.

She grew up in Craig Colorado, where she graduated high school. Phyllis came to Enid to attend Phillips University. On June 18, 1949, she married Kenneth McFarland in Enid, and together they had six children. Phyllis enjoyed creating wonderful and unusual crafts, traveling, and going to the mountains. She was a devout Christian and a member of the First Indian Baptist Church, where she loved leading the song service. She enjoyed her time as a volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Thomas Morris.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Charlene Wright and husband, Nolan of DeWitt, AR, Dorene McFarland of Davenport, Iowa, Kenny McFarland and wife, Melissa of Enid, Nadine McFarland of DeWitt, AR, Chris Arnold, of Enid, Polly Goodman, and husband, Mark, of Enid; sister-in-law, Aletta Morris of Ft. Worth, TX; 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
