Graveside services for Phyllis Jean Meeks, 88 of Enid will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2022, in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Marilyn Murray officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. She was born July 9, 1934 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Loyd and Autumn Derrington Lynn and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 19, 2022 in Enid.
She married Airman First Class Billy Floyd Meeks of Oklahoma City, on July 2, 1955 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. They made their first home in Rantoul, Illinois where he was stationed at Chunute Air Force Base. Over the years they lived in Germany, Del Rio, Texas and Lubbock, Texas. In December 1976, they moved to Enid where he retired from the Air Force. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Gary Meeks, Susan Atkinson, and Michael Meeks, a sister, Jacki, fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy, daughter, Julie and three sisters.
