Phillip Arthur McKeever was born on May 8, 1942, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Lois (Peggy) and Harry McKeever. He passed away at the Brookside Nursing Home in Castle Rock, Colorado, under the care of Halcion Hospice on March 5, 2019, surrounded by his family. His body was donated to Science Care Research, a company that does research into COPD and other debilitating diseases after which he will be cremated and his ashes returned to the family. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Phil attended McKinley Grade School, Emerson Junior High School and Enid High School graduating in 1960. He was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Enid. He joined the United States Air Force in the early 60s and spent most of his military tour at Castle Air Force Base, California. In 1970, Phil and Joyce Martin were married in Colorado and had two daughters Laurie and Molly both of whom were born in Enid.

Phil was a very likeable person and had many friends. He loved history and singing in barbershops quartets taking after his father in pursuing these hobbies. He also had a passion for fly fishing which he did quite often when the family lived in Colorado.

He is survived by his two daughters, Laurie (Smith) Stahle of Colorado Springs, her children Greyson Smith, wife Mary and their daughter Evelyn, Addison Smith of Grand Junction, Colorado, Braydon Smith and Madilyn Smith of Madison, Alabama, and Molly Krenz, husband Tony and their children Gavin and Anna of Castle Rock, Colorado. Also surviving are his brother Steve McKeever and his wife Glenda of Oklahoma City, niece Kelly (Mckeever) Jones of Naperville, Illinois, nephew Mike McKeever of Oklahoma City and his faithful dog Jack.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his nephew Bill McKeever and his sister-in-law Carilyn McKeever. Condolences can be sent in care of Molly Krenz, 256 Ember Place, Castle Rock, Colorado.
