The funeral for Peggy Sue Thompson, age 60, of Enid, will be at 10:00 AM Friday, February 12, 2016, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Omer Cemetery near Stockton, Missouri. Visitation with family will be Thursday evening, 6:30 to 8:00 PM, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Peggy was born to Russell Glen and Wilma Dee (Jones) Smith on March 12, 1955, in Lamar, Missouri, and passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016, in Enid.
Peggy grew up on a farm in southwestern Missouri, and attended R-1 Stockton Schools. She moved to Enid in 1980, where she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital, Methodist Home, Integris Bass Baptist Hospital, and most recently, Integris Meadowlake until her health declined. Peggy was a very encouraging person, always laughing and smiling. She loved her kids and being called “Granny” by her grandchildren. Family was everything to Peggy.
She is survived by her children: Melanie Gray and husband, Rusty, of Kremlin, Heather Todd and husband, Scott, of Garber, and Eric Snow of Enid; seven grandchildren: Taylor Gray, Trent Gray, Lakin Todd, Taryn Gray, Ashlyn Todd, Sarah Todd, and Gage Snow; sister, Nancy Smith, of Stockton, Missouri; and godson Kristopher Osborn of Enid.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
