A Celebration of Life for Peggy Ann Jack-Murray, age 91, of Enid will be 10:00 am, Friday, October 25, 2024 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at the Garden Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Peggy Ann Jack-Murray was born March 29,1933, in Ottawa, KS and passed away on October 21, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Peggy was a Christian, and looked forward to being reunited with family and friends in heaven.
She lived the majority of her life in Enid, including several years on the family farm. She was a founding member of Valley View Homemakers Club where she made several lifelong friends. She was an extremely talented seamstress and won a blue ribbon at the Garfield County Fair. Peggy loved hosting and playing Bridge - she was a very competitive player.
Peggy and her first husband Wayne moved to Rogers, AR in the late 1980’s. While in Rogers, she was employed by Cooper Communities and Wal-Mart. The couple moved back to Enid in 2008 where she resided until passing.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Loretta McDaniel; husbands Wayne Jack and Barney Murray; brothers, Jack McDaniel and Merle McDaniel; sisters, Donna Chance and Laverne Turney; brother-in-law Robert and sister-in-law Juanita Jack.
She is survived by her sister Patty Garren and husband Tom, of Tulsa, OK; sons Michael Jack and wife Diane, of Buda, TX; and Matthew Jack and wife Kim, of Bentonville, AR; grandchildren, Darcy Duggan and husband Kevin, of Austin, TX; Alexis Jack and Carson Jack of Bentonville, AR, and great-grandson Colin Duggan of Austin, TX.
She had a very special relationship with Colin and he added much joy to her life. She also had special relationships with nieces and nephews, particularly Kathy Rooks and Diana Arterbury.
Memorial contributions in Peggy’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
