Patsy was born February 10, 1924, to Roy Eddleman and Ethel Johnson Eddleman in Enid, Oklahoma. She was raised and educated in Enid graduating from Enid High School then attending Phillips University. She married Harold T. Holden in April of 1942. In 1958, the family moved to Stamford, Connecticut, following her husband’s career with the George E. Failing Company. In 1964, they moved to Livingston, New Jersey, where Harold commuted to New York City for work and Patsy occasionally worked for Bloomingdales. She absolutely loved every minute of working there. In 1972, the family returned to Enid where they made their home.
-
Patsy was a member of the Failing Women’s Axillary Club, Theda Child Study Club, a Silver Sneakers YMCA member, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and a founding member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing canasta with a spunky group of women each week, antiquing, family trips to Red River, New Mexico, and attending many family gatherings. Patsy enjoyed an active lifestyle and was very athletic. She played tennis, golf and enjoyed bowling. She loved traveling the world with her husband.
-
Patsy was so loved by her family, admired for her generosity, always thinking of others before herself. Her faith was deep and her moral fiber strong. She was the epitome of virtue and grace dealing with failing health, never giving up and always fighting to get better. She was greatly loved by the staff of Brookdale Enid and the family will be forever grateful for the wonderful care they provided. A beautiful soul, sweet spirit, loved by all, she will live in our hearts forever. We were so blessed to be part of her life. Rest in peace, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother until we are reunited again.
-
She is survived by her son Jeff Holden and wife Nancy of Enid, daughters Judy Graham and husband Lynn of Terrell, Texas, and Jan Harmon and husband Carl of Dallas, Texas. Patsy’s grandchildren are Cindy Kennedy (Mark), Jennifer Yarbrough (Matt), Raymie Holland (Trent), Amber Correll (Sam) and Colby Graham (Shawnette).
