Park Avenue Chooses Spring Grant Recipients

ENID, OK — Park Avenue Thrift will give away $200,832.31 in Spring 2022 Grants to nonprofits in Enid, OK.

The thrift store exists to strengthen the Enid community and serve others by collecting donations, running a top-notch thrift store, and giving the proceeds to Enid nonprofits that invest in quality-of-life initiatives. Since 2007, Park Avenue Thrift has given away $3,578,061.22.

The Park Avenue Thrift Giving Committee recommended the Spring 2022 Grant dollar amount, with funds going to 20 different organizations in our community. The PAT Board of Directors voted and approved this proposal during their April 14, 2022, board meeting. Organizations submitted grant applications in February 2022, which were reviewed by the Giving Committee before recipients were selected and voted upon by the board.

“Park Avenue Thrift couldn’t have done this without the help from our donors, shoppers, employees, and everyone who helps promote Park Avenue,” Executive Director Stela Jantzen said. “We are so happy that we are able to provide for several Enid organizations.” The grant recipients represent nonprofits that improve quality of life for all ages in Enid.

Spring 2022 grant recipients include: 4RKids, Atelier, Bennie’s Barn, Emerson Middle School-Speech and Drama, Enid Public Library, Enid Street Outreach Services, Enid SPCA, Enid Symphony Orchestra, FLY Film Festival, Furever Friends, Garfield County Master Gardeners, Hedges Regional Speech and Hearing, Leonardo’s Children’s Museum, Loaves & Fishes, Main Street Enid, Monroe Elementary, Railroad Museum of Oklahoma, RSVP of Enid, Youth and Family Services, and YWCA Enid. Lastly, Park Avenue Thrift employees will choose a nonprofit that will receive $2,500.

The Railroad Museum of Oklahoma is honored and grateful to receive one of the grants from Park Avenue Thrift. We’ll use the funds to expand and improve one of our signature exhibits, that of the Campbell Brothers Circus, which wintered near Enid in Drummond. We are excited for this opportunity presented through the generosity of PAT, its donors and customers, and look forward to producing the new display for all of our museum visitors.
