Opal was born in Cromwell, Oklahoma to Charley Herman Bull and Nola Beatrice (McDonald) Bull. After graduating from Varnum High School, she worked as a Switchboard Operator for Bell Telephone Company in Seminole, Oklahoma. Opal married Kenneth Eugene Barber in Ft. Smith, Arkansas on May 4, 1950. They were married for 69 years and had four children: Kenny, Bonnie, Brian, and Kim.

She is also survived by two brothers, David and Daryl Bull. Opal enjoyed being “Mema” to her grandkids and great grandkids. Some of her favorite pastimes were reading, traveling, playing dominoes and cooking for her family. There will be no ceremony. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
