Free Oklahoma Wildlife Expo This Weekend

GUTHRIE, OK - Enjoy a free, fun Wildlife Department Expo on September 28th and 29th! Everyone in the family can enjoy a taste of hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation this weekend during the 14th Wildlife Expo, presented by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. Thousands of visitors will gather at the Lazy E Arena between Oklahoma City and Guthrie to try out lots of hands-on activities and find out about the natural wonders found in the Sooner State. Admission, all activities and parking are free!

This wildlife event attracts more than 50,000 people from across Oklahoma and neighboring states, and enjoy plenty of indoor and outdoor fun. Presented by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and a coalition of conservation organizations, agencies and sponsors, the Oklahoma Wildlife Expo celebrates Oklahoma's impressive natural diversity and presents opportunities for sporting enthusiasts.

This event is a free, hands-on, interactive expo of exhibits, seminars and demonstrations centered on wildlife and outdoor activities. Visitors can participate in fishing, archery, shooting sports, mountain biking, rock climbing as well as see and and learn about recreation and conservation in the great Oklahoma outdoors.

Work up an appetite by trying a number of outdoor activities for the first time at the Oklahoma Wildlife Expo. Learn to ride a four-wheeler, shoot a bow and arrow, throw a spear or cast a fly-fishing rod. After an afternoon of activities, enjoy food items such as fried catfish, venison jerky or bison chili from food vendors set up at the expo. This event is also family friendly. Bring the kids and watch them climb rock walls, ride mountain bikes, catch fish and more. Don't miss the opportunity to participate in the biggest display of outdoor-related activities around.
