ATTENTION PARENTS
-
If you have a young future driver going through "parent taught" Drivers Ed, or your teen is driving now, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Garfield Co Sheriffs office will be conducting a safety talk at the Garfield County Sheriff's office located at 216 West Oxford Ave. in Enid on Saturday, March 12 at 10:00am.
-
The talk will consist of a power point on topics such as...
-
- Safe vehicle operation
- Common accident causes in young drivers
- The new texting and driving law
- Drinking and driving
- Proper seat belt use
- Information for the parents of young drivers
-
A drivers license examiner will be present for any questions parents may have about the Drivers Ed side and the rules and restriction your teen driver will have and the consequences they may have if these restrictions are broken.
-
ATTENTION: This will NOT count toward any academic points in drivers Ed or a reduction in drivers license points. The cost is FREE to all who attend.
-
This class will hopefully inform young drivers and parents of laws and procedures that we as law enforcement officers observe in young drivers and to hopefully reduce bad decision making before they have a chance to make the mistake behind the wheel where consequences can be life changing and much more expensive.
-
Feel free to SHARE with friends or family! Also please let them know if you will be attending and how many so they may be prepared seating wise. Call them at 580-237-0244.
-
The class is ESTIMATED to last approx 2 hrs depending on Q/A.
-
**Please Park on the WEST side of the building**
