Every dollar given generates three

Alva, Okla. (Nov. 17, 2015) — After a little over one week into its #GivingTuesday campaign, the Northwestern Foundation & Alumni Association is excited to announce an additional pledge of $10,000 from alumnus David Johnson, a former student between 1972-1973. Now gifts – up to a cumulative sum of $10,000 – will be matched at a 2 to 1 rate with two matching pledges of $10,000 each, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor and Johnson. For example, a donation of $100 will generate $300 to student scholarships. Every dollar matters, and now every dollar means three times as much.

In conjunction with the release of its new giving program, Rangers Investing in Students
& Education (RISE), the Northwestern Foundation & Alumni Association joins the movement to encourage every person to give at some level. This philanthropy helps ensure Northwestern students’ scholarship support continues at the level needed to sustain excellent performance. By securing matching gift from two generous donors, all gifts received between Nov. 4 through Dec. 1 are eligible for the #GivingTuesday 2 to 1 match.
