TONKAWA, OK - June 22, 2017 - Northern Oklahoma College Board of Regents officers for 2017-2018 are Stan Brownlee, Enid, chair; Chad Dillingham, Enid, vice chair; and Dale DeWitt, Braman, secretary.
The officers were elected at the June 21 Regents meeting at NOC Tonkawa.

Regents Linda Brown and Jeff Cowan, both of Ponca City, will serve as Group One Trustees of the Northern Oklahoma College Foundation. New Group Three trustees approved for three-year terms by the Regents are community leaders David Cummings and Jim Rodgers, Tonkawa area; Mike Loftis, Stillwater area; and Bert Mackie, Enid area.

Dr. Rick Edgington, vice president for enrollment management, reported current enrollment figures of 1420 for summer and 2942 for fall enrollment. He and Dr. Pam Stinson, vice president for academic affairs, have been invited to speak at the American Association of College Registration and Admissions Officers National Conference in Phoenix, Ariz., this fall regarding the NOC/OSU Gateway program and how implementing the reverse transfer initiative helps students to complete their associate degrees.

Personnel actions included the hiring of Timothy Hubbard, livestock judging coach. NOC Tonkawa personnel resigning their positions were Sara Hawkins, information systems administrator; Rachel Macy, administrative assistant for development and community relations; and Johnna Smith, assistant softball coach. Madelyn Morris, counselor at Enid, also has resigned.

Regents granted tenure to faculty Crys Davis, science, and Tim Kruse, math, both at Stillwater; Scott Harmon and Frankie Wood-Black, science, Tonkawa; Ty Shreck, social science, Tonkawa; and Stacy Frazier, language arts, Tonkawa and Stillwater.

The Board approved the fiscal year 2018 operating budget of $25.8 million and a proposed 5.5 percent increase in tuition and mandatory fees to be presented to the State Regents for approval.

In other action, the Regents approved the College Catalog and the Institutional Budget for FY 2017-18 as well as the Campus Master Plan for FY2019-2026. They ratified agreements with the NOC Foundation for an exchange for services and for support of development activities.

Anita Simpson, vice president for financial affairs, presented May financial reports for the Regents’ approval. Regents also endorsed purchases including online tutoring services for students, HVAC replacement for Threlkeld Hall at Tonkawa and a chiller replacement for E.B. Hall at Enid. Monthly allocation requests totaling $105,000 for various projects were approved.
