Enid, OK - Oakwood Christian Church and Redeemer Lutheran Church are hosting Enid’s 2020 Night to Shine on February 7 at Oakwood Activity Center. Night to Shine is a worldwide movement sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation that includes special needs proms being hosted simultaneously.

On one night more than 537 churches in 50 states and 11 countries host Night to Shine. This worldwide event requires more than 175,000 volunteers on that night, and more than 90,000 people with special needs, ages 14+, attend proms around the world.

There are almost 200 Kings/Queens and they all need a Buddy, which is required. Buddies must attend a training day to participate.

During Night to Shine Enid 2019, Kings and Queens will be given a true VIP treatment, including a red carpet entrance complete with special transportation, paparazzi, professional photography, hair and makeup stations, flowers, Chick-fil-A, dancing, and karaoke.

Prom night isn't just for people with special needs, Night to Shine is also hosting on that same night a Parent Prom Night for the parents of those attending Night to Shine. Parent Prom Night will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church located at 215 S. Cleveland. Parents/Caregivers are given three hours to relax, socialize, and enjoy dinner, all while having the ability to watch the prom through live streaming. “Buddies” will be available to escort each child while parents relax at the parent prom.
