Naomi Ruth Chahal, 91, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 15, 2025, surrounded by love. Born on May 4, 1933, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Naomi was the daughter of Preston and Sallie Wiggins. She was preceded in death by her sister Hazel Smith and is survived by her sister Eileen Carnes, both of Ohio.
As a devoted wife, Naomi shared a beautiful life with her late husband, Sukhminder S. Chahal. Together, they built a home filled with love, and memories while raising their family. As a homemaker, Naomi’s warmth and creativity were reflected in everything she did.
Naomi had an adventurous spirit and a passion for exploring the world, traveling extensively both across the country and internationally. Her artistic soul found expression through her love of painting.
She is lovingly remembered by her three sons: Paul Chahal of Garnerville, Nevada; David Chahal of Enid, Oklahoma; and Victor Chahal of Enid, Oklahoma. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Sydney and husband Taylor York, Dylan Chahal and girlfriend Nicole Jones, and Vikram Chahal, as well as her three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Easton, and Blakely, who brought her immense joy.
A celebration of Naomi’s remarkable life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Anderson Burris Funeral Home in Enid, Oklahoma.
Naomi’s warmth and nurturing spirit touched all who knew her, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
