We are hearing unofficial rumors that the movie theater in the mall will be moving to the old Sears location. What could this mean for new theaters, new seats and new concessions? We'll try to get more details soon.
Built in 1984, Oakwood Mall is home to Enid's only movie theater. The movie theater currently has eight movie screens and is located on the north side of the mall near the food court. Sears was located near the center entrance of the mall on the south side.
Starplex took over operations of the theater in April 2013. The theater is called the Oakwood Enid 8 and was formerly operated by Dickinson Theaters and Showplex.
