Mona Jean Burrow

February 18, 1940 - May 22, 2024

A Celebration of Life Service for Mona Jean Burrow, age 84 of Enid, will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024, in the Baptist Village Chapel with Chaplain Gary Wilburn officiating. The casket will be open from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mona was born February 18, 1940, in Bennington, OK to Floyd and Martha Eslick Jones, and passed way Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in Enid.

She attended Wilson High School and attended Northeastern in Tahlequah. Mona was a secretary in medical clinics. She married Milburn Burrow August 4, 1959, at Wilson Baptist Church where she also attended. They were soul mates for almost 65 years. They ministered churches in the state of Oklahoma for 40 years. She later joined the First United Methodist Church in Enid. Mona loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and enjoyed her pets. She was skilled at crocheting and enjoyed craft shows and flea markets. Mona and Milburn enjoyed traveling. She loved her Lord and would lead the choir when she was needed. Mona suffered a debilitating stroke in June 2017, that took her ability of speech. She handled this with Grace and her smiles captured the hearts of many people.

In addition to her husband Milburn, Mona is survived by three sons, Philip and wife, Cindy Burrow, Jimmy and wife, Nancy Burrow, and Scott Burrow. Six grandchildren, four great grandchildren; sister, Sue Morrison; brother and his wife, Terry and Pat Jones; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by father and mother and sister, Linda Thomas and husband, Alfred.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Baptist Village.
