Funeral Services for Mildred A Miesner, 98, of Fairmont will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont, Oklahoma with Pastor Tim Dorsch officiating. The interment will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Fairmont, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Mildred was born December 27, 1918 in Moundridge, Kansas, the daughter of Otto and Amanda Kriethe Schlicht and passed away February 12, 2017.
She was united in marriage to Walter Miesner July 26, 1936 in Fairmont, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death November 28, 1988. Mildred was a long time member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Mildred loved sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, growing beautiful flowers and especially spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a woman with a kind and generous heart. She had a great appreciation for music and a strong faith in the Lord.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn LeGrand and Bonnie Osborne, a son, Lyle Miesner, six grandchildren and their spouses, Rick and Brenda LeGrand, Kevin and Kay LeGrand, Bryce LeGrand, Steve and Pam Osborne, Sherri and Jeff Hersey, Tim and Christine Osborne, eighteen great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Peters and Fern Heim, two son-in-laws, Harold LeGrand and James Osborne, one daughter-in-law, Marge Miesner and one great-granddaughter Chasity LeGrand.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home custodian of the funds.
