The services celebrating the life of Mrs. Melinda Winkelman, 59, of Enid will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday June 23, 2017 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Carol Coulter officiating. Burial will follow in the Paradise Cemetery in Breckenridge. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born June 28, 1957 to Mr. Frank Henry and Neva Young McGill in Oneonta Alabama and passed from this life June 20, 2017 at her home with her family at her side. She attended Enid public schools and graduated from Enid High School in 1975.

On September 21, 1975, she married Roy Winkelman in Enid. She had a passion for caring for children and worked as a child care provider for many years at the First Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church.

She attended the Enid Main Nazarene church.

She is survived by her husband; Roy of the home, Daughter; Alisha Merriman and husband Robert, of Enid; Son, Milton Winkelman; Mother, Neva McGill of Enid; three Sisters, Rhonda A. Danks, of Enid, Lysetta E. Powell and Husband Lee, of Ponca City and Levena J. Bliss , of Enid, Two Grand Children and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and Grand Son Alex.
