ENID, OK - Since 1968, family-owned Mead Jewelers has been one of the most trusted names in jewelry in Northwest Oklahoma. They are a well-established jewelry shop that grew from a small store to a multiple brand jewelry retailer.

Stan Mead returned from World War II and developed an interest in the repair of clocks and watches. His interest lead to a career in watch repair and eventually the opening of his own jewelry and watch repair shop in Woodward, Oklahoma.

For over 50 years, Mead Jewelers served Woodward and generations of families as their trusted jeweler. They have been known for brilliant diamonds, beautiful fine jewelry, elegant watches, treasured gifts, custom made styles and expert jewelry repairs.

In 2005, Jay Mead and his wife Tiahni, took over the family business name and opened their own store. The couple kept the store open even as Jay Mead worked another shift job, making sure repairs were done for customers who dropped jewelry off.

The Mead's started with a small inventory until things began to grow. Jay Mead eventually quit his shift work and jewelry became his full time business.

After many successful years in Woodward the Mead's made the decision to move their retail location to Enid, Oklahoma. They moved to downtown on the square and took over the former location of Bell Jewelers at Randolph and Grand.
