The Funeral Service celebrating the life of Maurine Ridgway, 96, of Enid will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday December 1, 2015 in the Hunter Christian Church with Rev. Nathan Nance and Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery in Hunter under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born March 13,1919 at home south of Hunter to Virgil and Sallie Campbell Ridgway. She attended Eureka Country School and graduated from Hunter High School in 1937. She attended Enid Business College, graduating in 1939.During World War II, she worked in the office of machine parts control and personnel department of the Douglas Airplane Plant in Tulsa. She later worked for Enid Transfer and Emrick's storage. She has been a member of Hunter Christian Church for over seventy years.
She is survived by nieces Cynthia and husband, Robert Smith of Enid, Sallie and husband Mark Lamb of Pond Creek, Nephew Forrest and wife, Linda Ridgway of Enid, four great nieces ,three great nephews, three great great nephews, and two great great nieces She was preceded in death by her parents , twin brother, Maurice, brother Cam, sister Roberta, niece Carol Penley and grandnephew Bryan Johnson.
