Mary L. Jantz, age 70 years, of Meno, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at home. She was born November 28, 1946 in Red Oak, Iowa to Arthur Berggren and Edna (Wharff) Berggren. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Mary graduated from Red Oak High School in 1964, then she moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she worked for Mutual of Omaha Insurance. She met her future husband Dwight while he was stationed there during his service in the United States Air Force. They were married July 27, 1968 and shortly after they moved to Enid before moving to Meno where they established their home. Mary worked in real estate for several years before becoming a mortgage loan officer at Central National Bank where she worked until her retirement.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Michelle Jantz. She is survived by her husband Dwight, of the home in Meno; son Tim of Enid; three brothers, Bob Berggren and wife Linette, of Tennessee; Fred Berggren and wife Sheri, of Iowa; Dave Berggren and wife Connie, of Iowa; and sister Joann Butler, of Iowa; several nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
