The funeral service for Mary Snell, age 91, will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Central Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Dan Barrick, Chaplain Gary Miller, and Rev. Matt McMullen officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening 5:30 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mary was born to Joel and Ethel (Hurst) Martin on July 6, 1925, in Kansas City, Missouri, and passed away Monday, March 13, 2017, in Enid.
Mary moved with her parents to Enid in 1934. After graduating from Enid High School in 1943, she went to work for the Joe Franks Family, and continued working for them up until 2003. On October 5, 1944, Mary married Howard Snell. She was active with her husband’s ministry, serving many Assembly of God churches in Oklahoma. Mary was the W.M. Representative for the Oklahoma Assemblies of God District for a number of years.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Judy Snell of Enid. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Howard Snell.
