Funeral services for Martha Jane Weigang Briesemeister will be 11:00am, Saturday, January 13,2024 at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev Dan Thimell officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 5pm-6pm, Friday at the funeral home.
Martha was born June 2, 1926 in Seguin, Texas to Oscar and Bianca (Tieken) Weigang and passed away January 5, 2024. She married Alvin Briesemeister, Jr on June 8, 1948, they were married for 72 years, before his passing in 2020. Martha moved to the Enid area in 1971. She worked for Enid Public Schools as well as the State Board of Education as a secretary for 15 years. Martha was a member for Faith Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her Grandson, Chris Frazier and wife Stephanie; great grandchildren, Christian Frazier and wife Kate, Aspen Frazier; great- great- grandson, Lukas Frazier, of Pottsboro, Texas; brother, Oscar Weigang Eastbrook, Maine; daughters-in-law, Marion McPherson of Pottsboro, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin “Al” Briesemeister, Jr.; and son, Thomas “Tom” Briesemeister.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Commons for their love and care of Martha.
