A Celebration of Life service for Mark Allen Hatfield, 70 of Enid will be Friday, June 28th, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Anderson Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Saint Mary Calvary Cemetery in Medford.
Mark was born in Enid, Oklahoma to Richard and Norma Hatfield and passed away on June 23, 2024, at his home in Edmond.
Mark grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. He went to college in Tonkawa at Northern Oklahoma College. Throughout high school and college, he worked at Atwood’s. When Mark turned 21, he joined the Enid Police Department, and retired after 25 years of service as a police sergeant. While on the police force, he made the Governors Top 20 list twice in the most skilled marksmanship competition. After retiring, Mark opened a woodwork and furniture repair shop for 10 years. Mark drove a routine route and the activity bus for Enid Public Schools for 15 years. Mark was an avid hunter and fisherman, especially fly fishing. No matter what he touched, he perfected it. Mark was multi-talented in many aspects.
Mark was proceeded in death by his parents, Richard and Norma Hatfield, and his brother, Norman Hatfield.
Mark is survived by his wife, Roxana Hatfield of the home, his children Jeff Lenning and wife Unkyong of Severn, Maryland, and Karlee Vail and husband Corey of Edmond, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Emily Lenning of Holly Springs, North Carolina and Addilyn Vail of Edmond, Oklahoma. Also, his uncle Jess Brewer and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
