Margaret Theresa (McCauley) Gonzalez, age 85, went to be with the Lord on Saturday July 13, 2019 in Enid Oklahoma, where she has lived for the past 20 years and proudly served as a volunteer of St. Mary’s hospital.
Margaret was born March 1934 in Glen Cove NY to Thomas McCauley and Ethel (Kreyer) McCauley. She was one of twelve siblings and attended St. Patrick’s schools. She later married the late Santos Gonzalez and they raised 4 children together.

Margaret was mostly known for her sense of humor and giving ways. Her home was open to anyone who needed her and she went out of her way to help a stranger. You also never left her home hungry. She filled you with her well known rice and beans, eggplant parm, lasagna or cheesecake!

Margaret will be deeply missed and is survived by her 4 children; Michael McCauley (Nora), Albert Gonzalez (Eileen), Marge Winowsky (Michael) and Michelle Gonzalez; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildred, 1 brother, 2 sisters, many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

Our family will be receiving visitors @ McLaughlin-Kramer-Megiel Funeral home in Glen Cove NY on Saturday July 27th from 1pm-4pm.

Funeral services will be held @ 1230 pm at the Glen Cove Christian Church on Sunday July 28th. Interment East Hillside Cemetery. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
