Margaret was born December 13, 1936 in Bonanza, Arkansas, to Frank and Polly Ann (Owens) Hood, and passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 in Oklahoma City.
Margaret was a nurse for 51 years, working at Bass Hospital, and St. Mary’s, where she retired. Following her retirement, she started working at The Living Center, where she worked for 17 years, only due to covid restrictions, she was forced to retire again. Margaret was very involved with her family, always available for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to travel, and anywhere was fine! For her 80th birthday, she was able to go on a cruise with her daughters and granddaughters and had the time of her life. Her most recent adventure was going to the casino. She enjoyed going to Arkansas to see her boys and her grandchildren. Margaret never met a stranger and loved talking with everyone, where ever she went. Recently, she enjoyed working out at St. Mary’s Change of Heart Cardiac Program, three times a week. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Margaret liked to impart her wisdom upon friends and family and preceded it with “I’ll tell you one thing!” or “Let me tell you something!”
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Polly Ann Hood; grandson, Mark Haaser; two sisters, Patricia Sales; and Francis Smith; brother, Charles Hood; daughter-in-law, Patty Mizell; and Suli, her beloved Shih Tzu.
