OKC, OK - Main Street Enid, Inc. took home 5 awards last night at the Oklahoma Main Street Awards Banquet. Roxanna Costello was recognized as Main Street Enid’s board member of the year, Natalie Beurlot was a finalist for director of the year, and Main Street Enid won the biggest award of the night, Outstanding Main Street Program of the year!
Other award winners included:
• Winner of The Premier Special Event Over 1,000 Attendees for Holidays on Ice.
• Settlers won Best Buisness/Building Branding.
• Enid Brewing Co. won Best New Business.
The Oklahoma Main Street Center, a Division of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, holds an annual awards banquet where the accomplishments of local Main Street programs in 21 categories of community and economic development are recognized.
These awards, sent in by the local Main Street programs, showcase the enthusiasm, creativity and responsibility toward increasing revenue and creating jobs for their local business districts. Awards cover each of the Main Street Program’s 4-Point Approach™ to local economic revitalization including:
• Organization
• Promotion
• Design
• Economic Vitality
In addition, the “Main Street Program of the Year Award” is also given. This award recognizes quality in program activities and commitment to Main Street principles.
