Proving that a great show is always in fashion, Love, Loss, and What I Wore has become an international hit. With its compulsively entertaining subject matter, this intimate collection of stories by Nora and Delia Ephron celebrated an accomplished two-and-a-half year run in New York’s Westside Theatre. Love, Loss, and What I Wore is based on the best-seller by Ilene Beckerman as well as the recollections of the Ephrons’ friends. The show uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to, creating one of the most enduring theatergoing experiences domestically and overseas.

If you haven't already had the pleasure, meet my sweet friend and powerhouse actress Carmen Ball. Carmen directed me in my first Gaslight play when I was 14 years old. Carmen plays many roles in LLWIW, but her interpretation of Rosie O'Donnell's story about her mother's death is so heartfelt and honest. Don't miss her performance.

Meet Gingy a/k/a Ilene Beckerman, the author of the book "Love, Loss and What I Wore" before it became the stage hit written by Nora and Delia Ephron. Played by stage favorite and longtime Gaslight director/supporter/friend Mary McDonald, Gingy is the play's storyteller. Mary breathes life into the relateable events, drawings and musings of NYC based Gingy's life. Don't miss this rare opportunity to watch this seasoned actress onstage.

Who hasn't heard of Tammy Wilson? If you haven't, you might double check your abode to see if you are actually living under a rock. ?. Packed with passion for community affairs and events she is known for her strong female persona and her ability to get things done. What you may not know about Tammy is that her strong female persona and dedication to get things done follows her onstage. If I may be so bold, this is truly some of Tammy's best work in "Love, Loss and What I Wore." She makes a story about prom dresses and tipping cows a hilariously real event. Don't miss her Nov 12-14 at Gaslight. Tickets are going fast.

The fourth member of our talented troupe is Courtney Strzinek. I've come to learn that Courtney is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. The special talent that she brings to this story is her ability to play multiple characters in either comedic or dramatic circumstances. I'm equally as apt to belly laugh at her tale of "The Adventurous Crocheter," as I am to weep for her character of Merrill (no spoilers!) Only a talented actress can equally engage an audience on both sides of the performance spectrum.

When your last name is "Newell," you are genetically endowed with enviable artistic talent. Leslie Newell highlights her birthright in "Love, Loss and What I Wore." With a flair for things comedic, she flourishes when she talks of her experience with Marvelene, who is giving her a bra fitting. We root for her character Heather's decision to pick heels over Birkenstocks. After rehearsing with Leslie dozens of times now, I've observed she also has that theatrical "je ne sais quoi." She captivates an audience, and it's not just because of her acting chomps or her lovely face.
