A celebration of life service for Lorene Johnson age 88 of Enid will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Enid Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. Tommy Donaldson officiating. A private family graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, OK prior to the church service. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Lorene was born March 23, 1932 in Watonga, OK to Edgar W. and Lucy M. Posey Pearson and passed away September 18, 2020 at Brookdale Assisted Living. She graduated from Fairview High School in 1952.
On September 13, 1958, she married Walter F. Johnson in Fairview, Oklahoma. The couple settled in the Breckinridge area, where they farmed and raised their family.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin and wife Teri of Enid, OK, Larry and wife Janice of Hunter, OK and her daughter Terri Martin of Poteau, OK, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, brother Mel and Mary Pearson, sister Jennie Pearson and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, two brothers, Clarence and Buel Pearson and one sister, Margie Allen.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or Enid Mennonite Brethren Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
