The funeral for Laveta Frances Estrada, 67-year-old a Medford, Oklahoma resident will be at 2:00 p.m. On Sunday, November 17, 2024, in the First Baptist Church of Medford. Rev. Greg Clinage will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosebud Cemetery in Medford, Oklahoma under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Laveta was born September 4, 1957, in Cyril, Oklahoma to John and Marie (Hudson) Crow and passed Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family. She attended schools in Pond Creek/Hunter.
On May 31, 1983, she married Jimmie Estrada in Enid where the couple made their home. Laveta was an adult caregiver during their time in Enid. In 2003 the couple moved to Medford where she continued her caregiving until ill-heath forced her retirement in 2017.
She was an artist whose medium was paint. Her husband Jimmie was a woodworker, and she painted many of his projects.
She is survived by her son Russell Estrada of Medford and her daughter Mechell Koehn and husband Michael also of Medford. Her Mother Marie Crow of Enid. 4 grandchildren; Elijah Koehn and April, Alex Koehn and wife Shelby, Isaac Koehn and Kenzie, and Hadleigh Jo Estrada. 6 great-grandchildren; Grace, Adam, Waylon, Braxtin, Emma, Khloe. 10 siblings; Sue, Marilyn, Carol, Julene, Diane, Steve, Mike, Mark, Jerry, and Sharon. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Laveta was preceded in death by her father, her husband Jimmie, and her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Alicia Estrada and one sister Angie.
