The Funeral Services Celebrating and Honoring the life of Ladonna M. Lass, 86, of Enid will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday May 22, 2021, in the First Presbyterian Church of Enid, with Reverend Dr. Andrew Long officiating. The service will be live-streamed on the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Facebook Page. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, Oklahoma City, at 1:15 P.M. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Ladonna was born October 27, 1934, to Donavan and Loretta Ballard in Oklahoma City and passed from this life May 13, 2021, in Enid, Oklahoma.
LaDonna was raised and educated in Oklahoma City. She met her life partner, Lou, in 1951. They were married sixty-seven years. Ladonna and Lou lived in Oklahoma, Minnesota, Arizona, California, and retired in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was a Realtor for many years, served on the Minneapolis Board of Realtors, and was in the Million Dollar Sales club.
During her lifetime LaDonna traveled to forty-nine states and thirteen countries. She played golf and had a hole-in-one. She was Club Champ in 1979 at Burl Golf Club in Mound, MN. She enjoyed Bridge with her many friends. She loved being a Nana to her one and only grandchild, Sam.
She was a woman of service to others throughout her life. She was a charter member of Chapter GP, P.E.O. (a philanthropic education organization) and served in all officer positions including President. She is a present member of chapter DB P.E.O. LaDonna loved her church, First Presbyterian Church of Enid. She was a Stephens Minister, Deacon, Co-chair of adult Ministries Steering Committee, Moderator of Presbyterian Woman, and was Woman of the Year in 2004
She is survived by her husband, Lou; daughters, Terri and Marie and her husband David; grandson Sam and his wife Jasmine; brother-in-law; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and sister.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the First Presbyterian Church of Enid or the P.E.O. Scholarship fund, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
