A Mass of Christian Burial for Laddie Maly, age 83, will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 14, 2016, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Rev. Rajesh Mankena officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Laddie was born to Emil and Mary (Houska) Maly on August 27, 1932 in Bison, Oklahoma and passed away Monday, July 11, 2016, in Enid.
Laddie grew up in Enid and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1951. He married Barbara Kurtz on February 16, 1955, and they made their home in Enid. Laddie served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from Pillsbury after working there thirty years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus #1044, 4th Knights of Columbus Assembly 853, Men’s Club, and active in the Northwest District Junior Livestock shows. Laddie was a farmer and an avid hunter.
Laddie is survived by his wife Barbara, of the home; two children, Elizabeth Alvey (James) of Enid, Jason Maly of Enid; two grandchildren, Alexandria and Nicholas; one great-grandchild Jackson; and brother Francis “Frank” Maly of Enid.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
