Born: 1978, Enid, Oklahoma

Kyle Dillingham, musician, Enid native, is a graduate of Oklahoma City University. Upon graduation, the president of OCU, Tom McDaniel, created a position for Kyle to be on staff as "Ambassador" for Oklahoma City University. In this position Kyle fiddled up awareness about OCU in high schools all over Oklahoma, Arkansas as well as around the world. Kyle also used his music as a ministry from the campus back to the churches of the Oklahoma United Methodist Conference as well as on campus, leading worship regularly for chapel services. When Kyle was not busy with his duties as ambassador, he was touring with Nashville recording artist, Ty England.

At the age of 17, Kyle played with Bill Monroe, the father of American bluegrass music. Both as student and staff at Oklahoma City University, he toured Africa, North, Central and South America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle-East, performing in over 25 countries. His national television appearance in the People's Republic of China reached an audience of over a billion people! He has been featured at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, and given a command performance for the King of Malaysia. His repertoire includes Gypsy Jazz, American bluegrass, classical, gypsy, Irish, jazz, Middle Eastern, swing, and his own compositions. Versatile on many stringed instruments (including bass, guitar, and mandolin),

Kyle's first love is the violin...or fiddle. His new album, "One Way" is a collection of some of your favorite hymns, played on solo violin. This is a rare opportunity to hear the sound of a violin played very lyrically on one string as well as in a multiple voice, virtuosic style. And as a special bonus, Kyle's friend, Maya Raviv, plays piano with him on Ave Maria. The whole project was recorded with a small hall reverb and did not undergo any editing or mixing of any kind. For a few years now, Kyle has specialized also in Gypsy swing, and also collaborate with Alfonso on a tour in Oklahoma. Kyle brings a new texture in the Gypsy jazz sound. As Oklahoma's international fiddling ambassador and member of the successful band Horseshoe Road, Kyle Dillingham is a busy person.
