KBR/Koch Toy Drive A Huge Success

ENID, OK - The KBR/Koch Toy Drive for the Salvation Army was a huge success this year! Employees gathered toys for the Angel Tree Project which assures local children will have something under the tree this holiday.
-
The toy drive brought in 29 bicycles and too many toys to count! The Salvation Army Major was very grateful and very emotional about the generosity of the KBR/Koch team. He stated that due to the donations, every one of the children’s Angel Tree wishes he received this year will be granted!
-
Even though the majority of the employees are from out-of-town they really got behind this holiday effort which has displayed their generous kindness and support for our local community.

Considered a world leader in ammonia technology, KBR has been involved in the licensing, design, engineering and/or construction of more than 230 ammonia plants worldwide. They are helping with the Enid Expansion Project of the Koch Fertilizer plant. KBR estimated about 1,100 construction workers would be hired to help build the plant and storage facility.

The Salvation Army puts on the Angel Tree and Spruce Up A Life programs to help local families in need. The Angel Tree program is one of The Salvation Army's highest profile Christmas efforts. Angel Tree was created by The Salvation Army in 1979 by Majors Charles and Shirley White when they worked with a Lynchburg, Virginia shopping mall to provide clothing and toys for children at Christmas time.  Since then, the tradition has expanded and now is the cornerstone of The Salvation Army's Christmas efforts.
