Celebration of Life for Kay Ann Martin, 77 of Enid, will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2019, at Graceway Baptist Church with pastor Craig Bruyn officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, June 27, 2019, from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Kay Ann Martin, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 23, 2019, at her home.

Kay was born in Enid to Edgar and Frances West on July 24, 1941. She grew up in Enid until the age of 14 when she married her husband Charles E. Martin. Together they lived in various states, being a military family. Together they had three sons.

Kay became a licensed practical nurse in 1980, and had a passion for caring for others. She worked in various hospitals and doctor’s offices including, St. Mary’s Regional Hospital, and retired from NORCE after several years.

She enjoyed retirement and spent her time tending to her chickens, sewing, working in her gardens, and being with her family. She was a long time member of Graceway Baptist Church and cherished the friendships she made there.

Kay is survived by her husband Charles of the home, three sons, Darrell Paul and Pamela Martin of Nescatunga, OK, Darren and Judy Martin of Millington, TN, and Charles Patrick and Diane Martin of Enid, ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Earl, Charles, and Bill, sister, Helen, and grandson Scott “Ty” Martin.
