Funeral service celebrating the life of Kathryn Ann Hollen, 79, of Republic, Missouri, formerly of Ames, will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Patrick Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 at Anderson-Burris.

Kathryn Ann (Patton) Hollen was born July 18, 1939 to John Isaac and Mary Kathryn Sturgeon Patton and died Tuesday April 23, 2019 in Republic, Mo. She graduated from High School in Ames Oklahoma 1957. Ann married Glen Hollen Nov. 24, 1957. She enjoyed reading and authored many books that she shared with family and friends. Ann researched and wrote genealogy books for the Patton and Hollen families.

She is survived by; two sons, Doug Hollen and Wife Valerie of Lawton, Oklahoma; Mark Hollen, and Wife Susan of Sands Springs; one daughter Diann Hollen of Republic; Six grandchildren; Rachel Hollen and Husband David, Andrew Hollen, and wife Sheena, Lucas Hollen, Matthew Hollen, and Wife Jess, Brittany Smith, and Fiancé Jason Davis , and Abigail Hollen; and five great-grandchildren. Two brothers and their wives; Jerry and Wiletta Patton, Bill and Linda Patton; and two sisters and their husbands, Fran and Jack Goodpasture, and Joy and Tom Hardiman; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Glen; parents, one sister and her husband, Kay and John Russell; and one great-grandchild, Micah Hollen Bishop.
