Katherine Jean Martin was born December 17, 1951 to Olen and Wanda Abbott in Durant, Oklahoma and passed from this life on December 28, 2019 in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was born in Durant, OK. before moving with her family to OKC when she was a year and a half. When she was thirteen, they moved to Edmond, OK. She graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 1970. She married Larry Gene Martin on June 15th, 1968 in Edmond, OK. She then moved with her family to Vernal, Utah, Farmington, NM., Elk City, Duncan, and then to Enid, OK. following his career in the oil field. In 1983 she and her husband founded Kalamar Inc., an oil field tool rental company. She was a hard worker often working side by side with her husband while raising three boys. Her husband, sons and daughter-in-law will continue to work hard to prosper their families company just as she had for the last thirty-six years. She loved her horses and shared this passion with her grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, had a huge heart for all animals and was known to take in and love every stray dog or cat that came around. The greatest treasures in her life were her children and grandchildren. Her unconditional devotion and love for her family was the greatest blessing and gift.

She is survived by her husband, Larry, of over fifty years of the home, sons, Chris Martin, and wife, Tammy, Mike Martin, and wife, Christy, daughter-in-law, Shaunna Martin, sister, Carolyn Miller, grandchildren, Julia and Kara, Maranda, Madisen, Rachel, Emily, Kyle and wife Mimi, Alecia, and great-granddaughter, Paris.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved son, Phillip Martin.
