ENID, OK - Junior Welfare League of Enid handed out checks to their JWL gala beneficiaries on Monday, April 1st. 2019 recipients are Enid Public School Foundation, Chisholm Foundation and Garber Public Schools.

JWL of Enid raised $52,500, the most JWL has ever raised and given back. Natalie Beurlot and Jenny Grittman were gala co-chairs in 2018, which raised more money than any gala in JWL history.

During the presentation at Stride Bank Center, Enid Public School Foundation received $19,500, Chisholm Foundation received $14,500 and Garber Public Schools received $6,000.

Garber Public Schools will use their funds to assist with their startup Teacher Grant Program. The Chisholm Foundation will use their funds to assist with Chrome Book and management software for math and Spanish classes. And Enid Public School Foundation will use funds for their STEM (Science Technology, Engineering, and Math) Program.

All school districts received nearly double the amount each organization had requested. The remainder of the funds went to the Care to Share program.

Student scholarship recipients were Allison Benson from Garber High School and Bree Kisling from Chisholm High School.
