Celebration of life services for Judy Kay Briix, 71, Waukomis resident, will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 1:30 pm at Oakwood Christian Church with Reverend Alan Seibel officiating. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Judy was born on August 25, 1948 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jacob and Ruby Estes, and passed away peacefully on December 5, 2019 at her residence.

She was raised in Reydon, Oklahoma, graduating from Reydon High School with the class of 1966. Judy continued her education, graduating from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree. She married John Eugene Briix in Weatherford. He preceded her in passing. She worked at Granite School’s prior to moving to Enid where she worked at Oakwood Christian Pre-School. Later, Judy worked for Braum’s, retiring on March 24, 2013. Judy was a member of Oakwood Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Briix of the residence; Corey and wife Kelly Briix of Enid; sister Edna Matthews of Abilene, Kansas; brother, Donald Estes of Canute, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Aaron, Ethan, Nate, and Zane Briix. Judy was preceded in passing by her husband, parents, and sister, Gloria Lemke.
