The mass of Christian Burial for Judith A. Briner, 79 year-old Enid resident is 10:00AM Friday, June 24, 2022 in St. Gregory’s Catholic Church. Rev. Mark Mason officiating. Recitation of the Rosary will be 6:00PM, Thursday evening in the Henninger-Hinson Chapel with Deacon Tony Crispo Leading.
Judith was born September 7, 1942 in Joliet, Illinois to Joseph Berta III and Evelyn Margaret (Komp) Berta and died Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in Enid. She attended schools in Coal City, Illinois and graduated with the Class of 1960. On October 15, 1966 she married Lemuel H. (Bud) Briner in Enid where the couple made their home.
She worked with Champlin Firearms as a bookkeeper for 56 years and was a founding member of St. Gregory’s the Great Catholic Church. Judith was a member of the Women’s Professional Business Club, and was also the current President of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was heavily involved with the Boy Scouts of America for her entire life. She was dedicated to her children, grandchildren, and her Church.
Judith is survived by her children, Mary Ann Nofire and husband John of Jay, OK. Son, David Briner of Conroe, TX. Five grandchildren; Erin Williams and husband Trace, Keri Bell, Leann Bell, Colton Snell, and Jaxon Snell. One great-grandchild, Cooper Williams. One sister Jesleyn Stewart, one brother Joseph Berta IV,and wife Janie, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister Ruth Drolsen.
