Funeral service for Joyce Gail Letourneau, 66 of Enid, will be Monday, January 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be Sunday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Joyce was born on September 9, 1950 in Deming, New Mexico to Jud and Georgia Smith and died at her home on January 20, 2017 in Enid.
She graduated from Canutillo High School in El Paso, Texas. On November 29, 1969, Joyce married Donald A. Letourneau in El Paso, Texas. They moved to Enid in 1979. She had an in home day care for twenty years and later worked for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections as a food service manager. Joyce loved spending time with her family and enjoyed crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Letourneau II (Donny); her father, Jud Smith; and siblings, Denise Smith and Val Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; two daughters and their husbands, Dawn Michelle and Tommy Lawson, Christy and Kerry Rice; five grandchildren, Todd, Cindy and Donny Lawson, Cameron and Nathan Rice; mother, Georgia Smith; sisters, Karen Tiessen, Renee Fuksa; brother, Dean Smith; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
