Jose Castellanos de Loza died today September 19, 2017 after a brief illness at the Tepatitlan de Morelos Regional Hospital in Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico at the age of 94.

He was born at home on In Acatic, Jalisco, Mexico to Ignacio Castellanos and Maria Nieves de Loza on February 22, 1923.

He was a share-cropper, a U.S. Bracero, a farmer and was an employee of Simpson's Mercantile before he retired.

He married Julia Becerra-Guzman on December 23, 1939 and from that union 15 children were born; Maria del Refugio (spouse Jose Lopez), Jose (spouse Ramona), Elias (spouse Carmen), Jesus (spouse Victoriana), Altagracia (spouse Jose Luis Orozco), Asencion (spouse Lourdes), Maria Nieves, David, Gabriel (spouse Diane), Ismael(Spouse Alma), Alfonso (spouse Alicia), Obdulia (Spouse Guillermo Gonzalez),Maria del Carmen (Spouse Manuel Ramirez, and Rafael (Spouse Maria del Candelaria).

He was a sincere and grateful man with a penchant for people. He leaves many grieving friends and family members in Enid, Oklahoma, Prescott, Arizona, Santa Ana, California, Taylor, Texas, Cary, North Carolina, and Acatic, Jalisco.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his firstborn Carmen, and his beloved wife Julia.

The rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated September 20, 2017 at San Juan Bautista church in Acatic, Mexico at noon, his nephew, the reverend Fernando Miranda-Castellanos, officiating.
