The come and go celebration of life for John J. Mahoney is from 10:00AM to 12:00PM in the family home at 1406 W. Wabash. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. John Jacob Mahoney, of Enid, was called Home peacefully on July 28, 2016. He was at his home, with his family by his side. He was born to Clarence and Linda Mahoney in Emporia, KS on July 31, 1972. He joins his father, brothers Patrick Gilligan, Clarence Mahoney Jr., Michael Gilligan and sister, Edna Foehner. He leaves wife Jynni (Lewis) Mahoney, sons Jack and Wyatt, mother and sister Patricia Moran and extended family.
He had a passion for family and making people laugh. A self-taught Jack-of-all-trades, John took pride in being "the guy that could fix anything", and he could. A builder who beautifully restored the Indian Creek Village Winery Bed and Breakfast from the ground up. A mechanic of all types that regularly saved the day when things broke down. He was the Dad that made sure the shop lights were set up in the yard for late night sledding when it snowed and the husband that would stop on the side of the road to pick flowers for his wife. A big kid at heart that dressed up every Halloween as Obi-wan Kenobi because, inside, he WAS a Jedi. Loving husband, superhero Dad, always funny and one-of-a-kind... a beautiful soul. He will be missed, he will always be loved and he will rest now knowing that here, he made a difference in the lives of many.
