A Memorial service for John Wedel will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Rev Steve McClaren officiating. Cremation arrangements and servicesare under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
John was born February 27, 1946 near Montezuma, Kansas, to Harry and Marie (Toews) Wedel andpassed away January 30, 2024.
John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Norma (Beck) Wedel, sons, Mathew Wedel of Ontario,California, Todd Wedel, and wife Rebecca of Oklahoma City, and Ryan Wedel, and wife Courtney of Arcadia, Oklahoma; grandchildren, London, Anna Ruth, Elizabeth, Eli, Jewel, and Isaac; siblings, Sylvia Smith and husband Robert, Velma Wedel, and Marcia Toews and husband Dale; and a host
of nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, David Wedel and Grace Wedel; and daughter-in-law, Vicki Wedel.
John and Norma were married June 6, 1971 in Imperial, NE and lived in Arizona and Kansas before settling in Hillsdale, OK in 1979. John owned and operated several businesses, including land leveling, propane delivery, and automotive maintenance before graduating from Northern Oklahoma College in 1994 as a Registered Nurse. He then pursued a career including ICU, home health, dialysis, and clinic management. He loved singing, working with his hands, going to the
mountains, and cheering on the OSU Cowboys.
Memorial donations may be made to Grace Bible Church or the charity of your choice with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
