A graveside service for Ed Corbin will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, December 11, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
John Edward Corbin was born to Charles Edward Corbin and Elizabeth Margaret (Deeg) Corbin 11 June 1927 on a farm near Quinlan OK.
He went to a one room school house and then graduated from Waynoka High School. He joined the Army in 1945 and was honorably discharged in 1947 after being stationed in Japan.
He married Patsy Ruth Crabbs 09 Oct 1949 in Enid OK, and son Paul Edward Corbin was born in July 1955.
He was in accounting all his working years. He enjoyed squaredance and camping clubs, fishing and hunting. He will be remembered for his wood working and for the many bowls, wagons and doll houses he made for family members and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, son, granddaughter, 2 great grandsons and many nieces and nephews and sister Beulah. He was preceded in death by parents, sister Dorothy Friend and brothers Robert and Lloyd.
Memorials may be made to Willow Road Christian Church with Ladusau-Evans as custodian of the funds.
