When most people her age were retiring, she found another job that filled her life with love. She worked in food services at Harrison and then McKinley Elementary Schools. She loved the children and could tell you all of their names. At the age of 82, she finally retired, but continued doing volunteer work until she was nearing ninty.
Joanne was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister and brother and grandson Ty Morgan. Joanne is survived by her son Ron Bartlett(Susan), Kerry Riley, Bruce Bartlett(Gail), 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, four nieces, and one nephew.
