Funeral service to celebrate the life of JoAnn Wichert Walenciak, 74, of Enid, will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Brian Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
JoAnn was born on April 26, 1943, in Montgomery, Alabama, and passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her home in Enid.
JoAnn grew up in Enid, and graduated from Enid High School. She was baptized on December 20, 1953 at the First United Methodist Church in Enid. On March 3, 1962 she married Cheryl D. Wichert, and they had 3 children. After his death she married Jimmy Walenciak of Enid. JoAnn was a member of the Enid Red Hat Clubs.
She was preceded in death by both of her husbands Cheryl Wichert, and Jimmy Walenciak.
JoAnn is survived by her children Jeff Wichert of Beulah, Colorado, Shelly Bonnett (Mark) of Enid, and Mindy Guthrie (Neil) of Coffeyville, Kansas; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Enid SPCA.
