Jimmy Dean Connolly was born September 6, 1940, in Enid Oklahoma, and went to be with his Savior on April 26, 2020. He was the only child of Earl W. Connolly and Edith Hicks Connolly and grew up on the family farm near Garber and attended Garber Schools. On June 18, 1958 he married the love of his life, Alice Faye Herber. Together they raised 5 children. Jimmy worked at Woodring Airport in Enid, and was the Road Foreman for Garfield County District 2 and retired there. After retiring for just a short period he started a second career as a heavy equipment operator at Gateway Pipeline for several years. Once he decided that traveling the pipeline was getting old, he retired yet again, but that didn’t last long either. He went to work at St Mary’s Hospital as a Lab Courier. Most recently he spent his time at home with Alice. Jimmy was a hard worker, loved to fish, noodle and spend time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Alice, of the home; four daughters and a son; Selena McGuire and husband Jimmy, of Edmond, Ok; Shelly Connolly of Edmond, Ok; Shirley Smith and husband Sam of Enid; Alison Connolly of Garber; and Travis Connolly and wife Julie of Fairmont. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. He will be missed dearly.
