The Home Going Services celebrating the life of Mr. Jimmy Webster, 48, of Enid will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday May 8, 2017 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Herald Hall officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
JDW was born February 21, 1969 in Okarche, Oklahoma to Gladys Lawrence and Jimmie Webster. He attended Enid High School and participated in sports, playing football, track, and wrestling. There after he moved away to Washington to further his football at Walla Walla University. He then returned to Enid. Jimmy found a love for writing poetry and had a great ability to do motivational speaking and a love of cooking.
He leaves to celebrate his homegoing: his daughter Shakara of Oklahoma City. He also helped raise Tasia Murray of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Donte of Washington. Three brothers Robert and wife Tonya Norwood of Enid, Valgene and wife Tamica Webster of Enid, Johnny and wife Tywana Lawrence of Omaha, Nebraska. Sisters Edith and husband Marcus Jackson of Enid, Andrea Howard of Omaha, Nebraska, Troy Lawrence of Omaha Nebraska, four grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the donor’s choice with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
